I got the LG G5 smartphone because of its camera. For the first year of owning the phone, I simply switched between the normal and wide lens. As an a casual picture taker, I was happy with the results. My infrequent selfies looked pretty good thanks to the automatic face smoothing software.
After discovering r/LGG5Photography this week, I realized there should be other camera options. There must have been some editing to get the level of detail that users were showing.
A quick google search revealed a list of camera modes that the LG G5 camera has. Feeling a bit bad about missing all the photo opportunities during recent vacations, I decided to more thoroughly explore my camera before the next trip.
I read a few LG G5 reviews, like dpreview.com, and now have a better idea on the details to look out for. Below is a list of posts I plan to make about trying out each camera option. As I experiment more, I will edit this list to include anything new that I discover.
- Auto mode
- Manual mode
